A smirk tugs itself onto my face at what she says.
Sounded more like me than I would have originally thought.

I snort.
"True that..."
I then ask, suddenly;
"Can you guys.. that is, can vampires still smell blood when it's really old?"
Only because I was now rethinking the security of this place.
Saw had bled just about everywhere after he'd been shot.
Hiding things and telling me where things were and shit while he bled to death.
(Sounds almost comical now, was traumatic then)
There'd been so much that I never really got alot of it out.

I think about her question for a few moments.
"It is possible for vampires to smell old blood, but it's difficult for us to pinpoint where it's coming from," I explain;
"There's a lot of old blood in the city, so we mainly focus on the fresh sources, disregarding the past."
It was the strong truth when it came down to it.
Vampires really only cared about what was bleeding at that current moment, not what was already dead and gone.

I nod, happy with that answer.
"Good to know..."
Guess there were lessons that I could pull from that..

I rub Mi'Jette's shoulder a little as she lays her head against mine.
"I'm willing to answer any other questions that you may have," I say to Angel;
"There's quite a gap between Mi'Jette's age and mine, so my knowledge is definitely greater."
Meeting vampires wasn't a normal day occurrence for most, so I wouldn't doubt it if she was curious.

I open my mouth to say something, then shake my head.
"I.. I don't know. I'm still trying to absorb all of this." I let out a nervous chuckle.
The adrenaline had made it so that I couldn't use the 'just woke up' excuse.
"But.. I guess I am curious.. you're a vampire as well, like you said. So how does drinking your blood-" I gesture to him; "Help her, when technically it's dead blood?"
