The markings concerned me a bit.
I hold her a bit closer, kissing her forehead.
Disturbed sleeping never bothered me.
I'd grown used to it during the time I'd consistently slept in the same bed as Alison.
Nothing could beat getting my lung nearly gouged out because she'd been having a nightmare again..
Still, Silver's shadows and the corruption on her was a new thing for me.
Worst case scenario, I wake her up, I guess.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I absently grip the blanket in my hand and the corruption's glowing becomes more of it's normal pulsating.
The beat reconnects with my heart's rhythm and my lack of dreaming keeps it calm for the time being.
I could feel Raider's heartbeat too... He was still working outside with the others.
He seemed to glance around for a moment and I figured he could tell I was resting finally.
My hand twitches as he grabs a tool from his pocket, feeling his muscles tense up in his arm as they support the weight.
The bond was strange and I had yet to extensively figure it out to see why it was the way it was.
But that would have to be another time.

I took no real notice of her movements, just nuzzled lightly into her neck and started counting cracks in the wall.
I guess I was staying.

[Midge]

{Couple hour timeskip to save poor Kifer from boredom xD}

[Silver]

My head lulls a bit when I shift, starting to stir as it gets darker outside.
I was partially starting to wake up because my arm was burning from the corruption deciding to be irritating again.
Raider had gotten a significant amount of work done while I was asleep and he seemed rather determined to keep the others going.
I'd have to thank him later.

[Kifer]

Oh thank god she was actually waking up.
"There are exactly 438 cracks in your wall, counting the really little ones that I didn't see until an hour or two ago." Is the first thing I say.
"Before that there were 23."
I'd also had time to count the number of times she'd stirred but not woken in her sleep, how many breaths she took per minute, and had time to admire the way she sighed in her sleep, but I wasn't saying that out loud.

[Alison]

Ben and I had actually helped get a fair amount of work done.
Since Raider was still going and I enjoyed the physical exertion, we were still working.
Ben, despite being fairly fit from working so extensively with the Mutt horses, looked exhausted and staggered a bit when he went to pick up more debris.
The pile was nearly done- you could see the earth now- but the horses and their riders were tired.
I knew the horses could keep going awhile yet. To most they'd look exhausted, with the way the sweat was pouring off of them and how they messed with their bits, but I knew from experience that the breed had a core of steel in them. They could keep working like this for a few days and be fine, so long as they were fed and watered and had a nice long rest afterwards.
I pat Scrap's neck.
Good.
We'd be done before it was completely dark.

[Midge]

[Silver]

When I hear him I start to giggle quietly, gradually getting a bit louder till I finally roll onto my back and rub my eyes.
At least he sounded productive, in a really odd way.
I rub my arm and almost immediately stop touching it because it burned my hand.
"Shit... It always does this now," I mutter, looking at it and feeling it on my jaw.
My eyes shift back to Kifer and I was kind of surprised he had stayed, but I was glad nonetheless.
"Thanks..."

[Kifer]

I skim my hand along her arm and kiss her jaw, the burn not particularly bothering me.
"Not sure why you'd thank me for counting the cracks in your wall, but okay. You're welcome."
I say, smirking lightly.
Though I could tell the corruption was bothering her. I wondered why it did that, but couldn't bring myself to ask.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I blink slowly before letting my eyes scan his face for a moment.
"Mm... I needed a wall crack counter for some time now," I smile, messing with his hair a little.
It was nice having his silliness be slightly dumbed down since I wasn't all that awake yet.
I don't think I could ever really handle Kifer if he wasn't silly though... He'd probably just scare the shit out of me.

[Kifer]

I chuckle, shaking my head.
"Guess you found one."
I shift slightly and stretch, though I'm still lying down and hear a few nice cracks from my back and shoulders.
"Been laying there too long." I comment. "Getting too old for that."

[Midge]

[Silver]

I hold my lips together for a moment before finally saying what I was thinking.
"Old man..."
Signed a death wish.
But, of course, I suddenly couldn't stop giggling at what I had just said.

[Kifer]

I snort and push her off the bed.
"Get off my lawn, kid."
Before stretching out again and taking up most of the bed.
I would have tickled her but I had a feeling pushing her off the bed would be less painful.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I kept snickering about my comment, even after I had hit the floor.
That's when I spotted the metal cuffs under my bed.
Oh yes...
I pop up from the floor and whip the cuff around his wrist, hearing it snap closed before snapping the other closed on the headboard.
"Yeah!" I shout victoriously, laying back on the floor.
Random as Hell, but I wanted to see what he would do.

[Kifer]

I'm chuckling along with her, though it falters slightly when she cuffs me to the headboard.
"I hope you aren't planning to do absolutely nothing about this." I comment.
"Because there's only one scenario in which I enjoy and am okay with being cuffed to the bed in."
A slight, rough purr to my voice in that last sentence.
Was nice to see that she had handcuffs under her bed at all, though.

[Midge]

[Silver]




I fold my arms on the edge of the bed and lay my cheek on 'em while watching him.
"Mmm... I did only get one of your arms..."
I was still trying to figure out how my handcuffs had gotten under my bed when I hadn't used them in months.
The purr in his tone made me smirk and I crawl back up onto the bed.
"Aaaand what kind of situation would that be?" I inquire, straddling his waist.

I skim my free hand up the curve of her waist.
"Well, when I have an attractive woman straddling me like this, usually a sexual one."
I smirk at her.
Now that I knew she had handcuffs under her bed, it made me curious as to what else she kept there.

[Midge]

[Silver]

A shiver goes up my spine at the touch and I set my hands on his chest.
I chuckle quietly and lean down to kiss him, running my fingers into his hair.
Even if I was beat to shit, I was still tempted about a couple things.
"... Don't break my bed," I grin, realizing he could just yank his wrist free if he wanted.

"That would be a terrible waste of a bed." I say sarcastically, kissing her briefly.
The metal seemed weaker than what I had been cuffed with last time- and last time, I was in the jail for drunken disorderliness on duty.
And.. maybe drinking the alcohol that had been intended as use by field medics.
It'd tasted horrible, but damn, I'd gotten wasted fast.
I blink this memory away and my smirk deepens.
"On the other hand, if I did break your bed, I'm sure you'd enjoy the ordeal."

[Midge]

[Silver]

I snicker a little at his words.
"I can't deny that notion."
Perhaps just laying around and being handcuffed to the bed wouldn't be all that awful.
The last time I had handcuffs on, they left pretty nasty cuts, but I didn't really mind.
Matthew used to use a blade around me anyway.
Bleeding wasn't a worry for me.
"Surprisingly enough, I have more than one pair of handcuffs. None of that fuzzy shit."

"Oho really?" I say, raising an eyebrow at her.
Maybe minus one.
I know I'd used a pair on Trevor, but also wasn't sure I wanted to remind her of that.
Well, fuck me, the kid had been consenting for atleast half of it.

[Silver]

I laugh momentarily and look at his eyes.
"... I keep a lot of things in here," I comment.
The pillow had been moved enough and I reach above him, curling my hand around the back of the mattress and tug another pair or handcuffs from their hiding spot.
"Myes. Mainly handcuffs," I chuckle.

[Bemottled]

[Kifer]

"Oh, you naughty bitch." I chuckle, shifting slightly.
My wrist was bleeding, yes- not that I could actually feel it.
"Why so many handcuffs?"

[Midge]

[Silver]

"I like 'em," I reply bluntly, glancing at his wrist.
Maybe I shouldn't have made them so tight when I threw them on him.
I hold the handcuffs and kiss his jaw.
"There's rope somewhere too, but that shit makes a mess."

[Bemottled]

[Kifer]

"Well, so do handcuffs- it just depends on whats making the mess."
Followed by a quick nip to her bottom lip.
"So're you going to leave me wanting, or were you planning something?"

[Midge]

[Silver]

"Mmrph... Well..."
I run my hands up his shirt and smirk, my legs tightening against his sides.
"Kinda just wingin' it. It's been a while."
I shift a little and work my shirt off, tossing it onto the floor.

I run my eyes over her figure. Her bruises didn't bother me- marks like that never did.
My free hand slips down to the small of her back. Feeling her legs tighten against my sides like that was just...
It got a rare shiver out of me.
"Been awhile since what? You cuffed someone to a bed? 'Cuz that thing with Matthew and I was recent." I mutter, kissing the area above her navel.
It made my wrist bleed a bit more to do so, but it was worth it.
