"Alright, alright.." I say, giving her a little push towards the door.
"Here, walk in front of me so I don't procrastinate more."
She made me so happy..
I wondered, for a second, what I would do if I ran into Kifer.
I hoped I wouldn't do something stupid.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I snort and chuckle, slipping out of the house and heading for the barn.
I thought briefly where Kifer was, but didn't dwell on the idea, even if I needed to apologize.
City noses my shoulder when I walk past his stall, nearly knocking me over.
"What's up, Demon?" I ask him, running a finger down his face to calm him down. Odd horse.
I keep walking and end up near Rezkoro, seeing him staring at the back wall again. I make a face and grab his tack, slipping into his stall and starting to strap it on him, which seemed to wake him up a bit more.
"Ready for some running, 'ol boy?" I question and he lets out an excited snort.

I watch Silver enter the barn, glad she didn't notice me.
I was going to have a fucking bad sun burn after this, though...
I snorted slightly.
Me, hiding from a midget.
Of course.
I'd love to see their faces if I just died up here, though...

[Ben]

I find the stall I'd put Seven in, watching him snort and gnash his teeth at me.
"You're so angsty." I said, shaking his chin a bit. He chuffed at me and jerked out of my hold, tugging sharply at my shirt in retaliation.
I smacked his shoulder lightly, chuckling.
"Still the same dick of a horse, then. You didn't change over night."
He chuffed at me again, bumping me with his nose while I went about putting his tack on.
I had to dodge his hooves a few times while I did it, too.
"One day you're going to kill me and end up all alone." I told him sarcastically, pulling myself into the saddle.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I glance at Ben once I finish tightening the last strap, hesitating.
"Hang on a moment," I tell him quickly, slipping out the back and climbing up the ladder to the roof, spotting Kifer.
... I thought it was strange that I knew where he went.
Maybe because I used to do the same thing.
"You might not want to be out here too long ya know... Sun isn't particularly kind," I comment, my hands in my pockets as I walk towards him. Hopefully he wouldn't run... Or jump off or something like that. I wanted to apologize before it really started to bother me.

[Ben]

I let her go, patting Seven's neck and smiling when he craned his neck around to nip me.

[Kifer]

I glance back at her.
She seemed to be in a less psychopathic mood... thank god.
I remained relaxed, and shrugged.
"The Wasteland's sun is worse. It'll take me awhile to burn."

[Midge]

[Silver]

I sit down next to him and look up at the sun, squinting a little.
"Mmmm true..."
My gaze shifts back to him and I bite my tongue for a moment.
"I'm sorry for throwing a flower pot at you... And for kicking you..."
My ego hadn't been crushed because I apologized, I just hoped he wouldn't throw it in my face.

[Kifer]

I shrug.
"My balls still hurt, but alright. Apology accepted."
I lay back on the roof, propping my arms behind my head and watching her.
"I wouldn't actually rape Trevor, you know."
For some reason, it mattered to me that she know I wasn't like that.
"If he had asked me to stop, I would have stopped."

[Midge]

[Silver]

I smile and nod a little.
Thank fucking God.
"Thanks for telling me," I reply;
"Helps to calm my sisterly rage, so to speak."
Trevor wasn't actually my brother, obviously, I had been an only child, but still.
I pat his thigh and let out another sigh, looking up at the sky again.

[Bemottled]

[Kifer]

I let my eyes close and sigh, relaxed and the heat on the roof soothing more than bothering me.
After a few moments, I spoke again;
"You should be getting back to Ben. I'm not a good person to waste time with."

[Midge]

[Silver]

"He knows... So I'd keep a distance between you two," I let him know, letting my eyes run over him again.
I was still attached to the guy...
"There's ice in the freezer if you need it for your nose."
I kiss his forehead lightly before getting back up.

[Bemottled]

[Kifer]

I make a noncommittal noise and remain where I am, figuring I could waste a few hours up here by myself.
It was good that she spend time away from me, honestly. I really wasn't a good person to be around that much.
I mean, unless you were so fucked up there wasn't anything left for me to mess with...
...like Alison..

[Ben]

I've gotten Seven to do circles in his stall and am swaying slightly in the saddle, dizzy.
Of course when I'd wanted him to stop, the mutt had kept going..

[Midge]

[Silver]

I smile at him once more before leaving the roof, sliding down the ladder.
"Aaand back!" I announce once I'm back in the barn, heaving myself up into Rezkoro's saddle.
"Onward," I chuckle, trotting Rez past the two and out to the track.
I was honestly happier knowing Kifer had accepted my apology. I wanted him to keep hanging around...

[Ben]

Seven listened then, trotting eagerly after Rez and Silver and leaving me to struggle to keep my breakfast down.
"Damned horse.." I groaned, shaking my head to clear it.
Seven got eager once he saw the track, his ears swiveling forwards and his pace going to a canter.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I move Rez onto where the starting gate is planned to be set up, glancing around.
Trevor and I had tested this not too long ago... It was an amazing feeling.
Being able to run on solid ground instead of sand and water.
I pat Rezkoro's shoulder and he glances back at me.

[Bemottled]

[Ben]

I let Seven take his place beside Rez, giving Silver a challenging grin.
"You ready?"
I could almost feel Seven quivering with excitement below me.
I could definitely hear him chewing on his bit, eager to run.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I laugh and nod firmly.
"Fuck yes."
Rezkoro planted his hooves and waited for the signal.
He was ready.
"Go!" I suddenly shout, feeling Rezkoro launch forward at my word.

[Ben]

Seven shot off after Rez soon after, chuffing loudly and picking up speed fast.
His bulk made for quite an impact when he was focused on speeding up; I could see the visible ripple in his muscles as he worked to get far past Rez and Silver.

[Midge]

[Silver]

Rezkoro sped off with the speed he wanted and I let him.
I wanted him to be happy and do what he wanted to do, whereas Seven looked like he was going to trample us.

"I just wanted to tell someone in charge that I'm back from my misadventure."I said, looking up at her.
"I was back at my own stables, making sure nothing broke in and stole stuff. Pretty empty, otherwise."

[Stella]

I stifle a yawn and nod.
"Alright, I'll see where I can fit your name on the roster. Even with all the extra staff Alison hired, there's still a shortage of hands..."
I trail off for a moment, my focus slipping, likely from fatigue.
"Anyways, just... Idunno. Get a good nights sleep or something. Take a leisure ride while you can."

[Ben]

Seven reminded me vaguely of an old freight train.
Not that I cared.
The euphoria was obvious on my face- the speed he was hitting was faster than he'd gone in awhile.
Competitive beast.
I didn't even have time to shout a witty comment at Silver as we passed.

[Midge]

[Silver]

Rezkoro had made a bewildered snort when they passed.
I smirk and pat his neck, mainly so he wouldn't try and speed up, resulting in hurting himself.
I knew his limits and so did he, but he still pushed them occasionally.
His body usually felt as if it'd fall apart if he strained himself.
Frankie had chose to lean up against the railing to watch... Which was new.
He hardly ever watched others train and whatnot.

[Ben]

I leaned close against Seven's neck, not even noticing Frankie now.
Seven's body shook slightly with the impact of his hooves against the dirt, and I could hear the deep huff of his breathing as he kept up the pace.
I knew Silver and Rez would be falling behind, but I didn't want to make Seven stop, nor did I think I could.
He tossed his head, making a genuinely happy sound.
Maybe he's made for the races..
Alison had originally thought Seven too aggressive for it..but maybe..
Seven chuffed and seemed to pick up his pace a bit, flicking his tail and acting shockingly like a colt- kicking his legs out more than needed, craning his neck and actually whinnying and making normal horse noises.
I couldn't keep the grin off of my face. His happiness was infectious.

[Silver]

I was crouched lower against Rezkoro's neck as he sprinted.
His body was shuddering occasionally and I set my hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
He was starting to push himself and I could feel it... He was straining.
"Calm down... C'mon on, old man... Take it easy," I mutter and he starts settling with a decent pace.
He had a thing with overworking himself and it usually hurt him.
I rub his neck and let him keep the speed until he felt like he needed to slow down further.
Poor guy usually has trouble. He's best for stamina based races, not speed.

[Ben]

Seven skidded a bit at the turn, seeming to love it, and launched himself forwards again as soon as he could.
The impact jarred by jaw and I yelped a bit when I bit my tongue, but Seven was already off again, lurching into a jagged canter that soon went back into his even gallop.
I hid my face a bit, the flying dirt enough to make me leery of raising my head.

[Midge]

[Silver]

I ease Rez off the track without disturbing Seven and he nearly leans on the railing.
City canters up to us with his tack on and I smirk.
One horse after another.
"Take it easy. Frankie will look after ya for now," I say to Rez before climbing off him and directly onto City's back, who leaps over the railing in an instant.
I scrambled for the reins momentarily before he takes off after Seven, his speed scaring me a bit.
His wings flapped occasionally as his speed grew, eventually pulling in his wings when he came up to Seven's side.
